Welcome to the Web-Centric Alternative Certification Program!

WCACP provides online teacher certification for the entire state of Texas. Applicants enrolled in the program can teach in any of the 20 regions of the state during their one-year teaching internship. WCACP is No Child Left Behind compliant and State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) approved.

WCACP is 100% online, which allows candidates to complete assignments and coursework in the comfort of their own home, at their own pace. The program does not require candidates to attend face-to-face workshops or seminars like traditional alternative certification programs.

Program Directors and Field Supervisors are available to our candidates for assistance through phone, email, web chats, and videoconferencing to answer your questions and guide you through the maze of the certification process. Teaching candidates applying to WCACP will have the option to begin at a time of your convenience. Continuous enrollment will allow candidates to begin the program once they have been accepted without waiting for a designated class date.
